I’m YuMee Chung. Padmani is a spiritual name given to me by a very special teacher. It means Lotus Girl. I used to be a securities lawyer, now I’m a yoga teacher. My new career takes me around the globe but I’m happiest at home on the shores of Lake Simcoe with my musician husband. I teach Jivamukti Yoga and Yoga Tune-Up because they both make me smile.

This blog and podcast is about the practice of yoga at its margins. It starts from the premise that yoga is a technique for radical transformation and goes from there. While the practices described here may not be for everyone, they’ve certainly changed me inside and out, and I hope my offerings will be of service to you.

The free yoga classes offered here are intended for those who are already familiar with strong, flowing styles of yoga. If you are a newcomer to the practice, welcome—you’ve embarked on a grand journey. Please feel free to explore this site, but do find a qualified teacher in your area to guide your daily efforts. Please add a 10 minute savasana and 20 minutes of meditation to the end of each practice.

        Hi Padmani!
That would be wonderful if you could send me them. I’m interested in all of then except maybe the backbending one. Is that too much? Just send how ever many you feel comfortable sharing with me. My email is: sammya03@gmail.com
I am leaving this Tuesday, so if you could send them before then that would be great!
Oh this is so fantastic – very excited to be able to bring them with me on the camino de Santiago. 🙂
        Thanks again

Please come out to class on Friday at Moksha Yoga Markham sometime! We can discuss the kind of teacher you’d like to work with.
